T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 The Lord asked, "Moses, what is in your right hand?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
