We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
