No! By the moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 running away from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
