Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
