The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
