Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the morning brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
