Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
