Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you make merry? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
