The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Calamity! 1 What is the Clatterer? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 The day when men will be like scattered moths. 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose scales weigh heavier 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 A flaming fire! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
