And those who denied Our signs – We shall soon steadily lead them towards the punishment, from the place they will not know. 182 And I grant them respite; surely My scheme is effective. 183 Have they not bethought themselves their companion is not mad? He is only a plain admonisher. 184 Have they not pondered deeply regarding the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and whatever things Allah created? And that possibly their promise (of death) may have come near? So after this*, in what will they believe? (*Advent of the Last Prophet and the Holy Qur’an.) 185 Whomsoever God leads astray, no guide he has; He leaves them in their insolence blindly wandering. 186 They ask thee of the (destined) Hour, when will it come to port. Say: Knowledge thereof is with my Lord only. He alone will manifest it at its proper time. It is heavy in the heavens and the earth. It cometh not to you save unawares. They question thee as if thou couldst be well informed thereof. Say: Knowledge thereof is with Allah only, but most of mankind know not. 187 Say, "I myself have no power to benefit or do harm, save as God pleases. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I would have availed myself of an abundance of good, and no harm would have touched me. I am but a warner and a bearer of good tidings for those who will believe." 188
