He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And let him share my task 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember You much: 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
