AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 And set not up another god with Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Have they inherited such dealings with the Prophets from their predecessors or are they a rebellious people? 53 So turn thou from them; thou wilt not be reproached. 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. 58 So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
