The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
