۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we not then to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
