The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
