Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
