The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
