Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord. 1 He it is Who has created you out of clay, and then decreed a term (of life), and has also appointed another term, a term determined with Him. Yet you are in doubt! 2 And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth; He knows your secret (thoughts) and your open (words), and He knows what you earn. 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 So they disbelieved the truth when it came to them; but they will soon come to know the reality of what they had ridiculed. 5 See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). 6 And even if We had sent down unto you (O Muhammad SAW) a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!" 7 And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved. 8 Were We to have made him (Our Messenger) an angel, We would have made him resemble a human being and they would have again complained that the matter was as confusing to them as it is to them now. 9 And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at. 10
