The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
