۞ And We revealed unto Musa saying: go by night with My bondmen verily ye shall be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 we are a large and watchful force." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
