Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 175
