We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
