In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
