The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
