۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 (On the contrary) only those who have deserved the Garden, will have a good abode on that Day and a cool place for midday rest. 24 On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups 25 The true kingship on that day belongs to the Most Gracious; and that is hard for the disbelievers. 26 The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger! 27 O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend! 28 Indeed, he led me astray from the remembrance [of God] after it had come unto me!" For [thus it is:] Satan is ever a betrayer of man. 29 And the Apostle will say: my Lord! verily my people took this Qur'an as a thing to be shunned. 30 And even so We appointed unto every prophet an enemy from among the culprits. And thine Lord sufficeth as Guide and Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. 32 There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation. 33 Those who will be gathered on their faces unto hell: such are worse in plight and further from the right road. 34
