Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 upon a Straight Path. 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 We shall surely raise the dead to life and We record what they did and the traces of their deeds that they have left behind. We have encompassed that in a Clear Book. 12
