The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Then where are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
