Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
