Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 And within it are couches placed on high, 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and well spread carpets. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
