Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 I call to witness the lucent Book, 2 That We made it a distinctly lucid Qur'an that you may understand. 3 And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom. 4 Shall We turn away the Remembrance from you, for that you are a prodigal people? 5 How many Messengers did We send to the ancient people? 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, 8 (Muhammad), if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will certainly say, "The Majestic and All-knowing God has created them". 9 He who made the earth a bed for you, and laid out tracks upon it so that you may find the way; 10 It is He who sends water down from the sky in due measure, We revive dead land with it and likewise you will be resurrected from the grave, 11 And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride, 12 so that when you are mounted upon them you may remember the bounty of your Lord, and say: “Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to Us whereas we did not have the strength to subdue it. 13 indeed, to our Lord we are turning' 14 Yet they attribute to some of His servants a share with Him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed! 15
