Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
