The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people, 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 they are the people who are rightly following their Lord and it is they who shall be successful. 5 As for those who have rejected (these things), it is all the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they are not going to believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and ears; their sight is dimmed and for them is a great punishment. 7
