The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
