The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
