The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
