۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 'Behold, these are a small troop, 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
