The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
