Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 this is Our provision, unto which there is no end.' 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
