Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
