Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
