The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
