And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 For all their deeds. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
