Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
