Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
