Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
