The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
