Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And therein raising dust. 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
