Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62 The servants of the All-merciful are those who walk in the earth modestly and who, when the ignorant address them, say, 'Peace'; 63 They are those who spend the night worshipping their Lord, prostrating, and standing, 64 who say, "Our Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its punishment is a dreadful torment to suffer. 65 Surely it is an evil abode and (evil) place to stay. 66 They are those who are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep a balance between the two; 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 Whose punishment will be doubled on the Day of Judgement, and he will live for ever in disgrace, 69 Excepted, however, shall be they who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they whose [erstwhile] bad deeds God will transform into good ones - seeing that God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace, 70 Whosoever repents and does the right, will have turned back to God by way of repentance; 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say: "My Lord is not concerned on your account if you do not pray to Him. You have surely done with denying; soon will come the inevitable judgement. 77
