۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 and so we have [rightly] driven them out of [their] gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
