The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 “And I will not repel the Muslims.” 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
